PAOLA KUDACKI

The photographer Paola Kudacki presents a strong photographic campaign on oppression and the pursuit of external perfection entitled “Plasticity”for Beauty Papers Magazine, S/S 2016. 

The american model Leila Goldkuhl is the protagonist of the shooting, tied and woven between scotch and nylon.

The series suggests how much influence beauty standards have on people, now more and more at hand thanks to multimedia. The model tries to escape from the “chains” that keep her tied up, from the stereotypes that wear her down in the eyes of the mass, in search of her true identity and definition of beauty.

It seems to ask us the most powerful inquiry of all – is the nature of beauty all in our heads?
